Links/Resources
To get started:
Here are some resources we have put together over the years in some specific areas. Feel free to download, use, and offer suggestions for improvement, changes, or additions.
- A Directory of Curricula for Rehabilitation Services – 2008. I have updated this over the years to include a variety of resources and curricula that can be used to help staff develop and use rehabilitation interventions for children, youth, and adults. Appropriate for a variety of services funded through the Medicaid Rehabilitation Option and for Peer-run services as well.
- Medicare Part D: Prescription Benefit: Operational Implementation Guide for Community Behavioral Health. Originally written to help behavioral providers get ready for benefit changes when the Medicare Part D prescription benefit went live in 2006, this operational guide still contains valuable information. Check out a free chapter.
- Management Information System Resource Tool for Behavioral Health Providers. A free download that outlines management information systems resources as of July 2006.
- Food Education for People with Serious Psychiatric Disabilities: An Evidence-Based Recovery Curriculum is new from the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston University. This will be incorporated into the Slayton Consulting Directory of Curricula for Rehabilitation Services – 2008 when it is updated.
